Craven County Community Foundation: The Craven County Community
Foundation was established to serve the needs of local nonprofit organizations,
donors and charitable causes. The Craven County Community Foundation is an
affiliate of the North Carolina Community Foundation and provides grants and
funds to worthy nonprofit organizations.

SOCIAL AND RELIGIOUS
ORGANIZATIONS: The social and
religious groups and churches in New Bern are
extremely active, fulfilling needs that once the government took care of,
including:
feeding the hungry,
providing health care for the working poor; serving as prison volunteers to
teach and counsel; re-habilitating homes for elderly; providing help for legal immigrants from many
countries, and more.
The list is endless, and opportunities have never been so diverse or
so desperate!

assistance is needed from these organizations, just ask your own
church or synagogue or contact the primary religious services group,
Religious Community Services. They operate an Emergency
Shelter and a Soup Kitchen, among other services. Contact them at
